Paul Davey Cabinet Makers are dedicated to for designers and architects from working drawings. Using our extensive technical experience in materials and construction, we can offer a development service to take our clients from concept through to completion, including finished construction drawings and individually designed pieces.
As well as providing excellence in craftsmanship, we pride ourselves on an outstanding service and appreciate that deadlines are important. Our personal commitment to clients means that our knowledgeable team is always happy to solve problems rather than create them.
As an apprentice, Paul achieved distinction grade throughout his City and Guilds course, winning the "Best end of Year Project" award two years running. As part of a national skill’s competition "Skill Build" in 1993 and 1994, Paul won two gold medals. With these medals he qualified for the International Skill Olympics in Lyon 1995 where he won the silver medal.
He established his workshop in 1997 and now has a small team of highly skilled craftsmen around him, all working to his exacting standards.
Since the workshop was established in 1997, we have invested heavily in workshop equipment, enabling us to produce a wide variety of work with high efficiency.
We can produce curved/shaped/flat veneered panels and curved moulded timber sections. We have developed an advanced spraying facility to undertake specialized finishes such as polyurethane lacquer, acid catalyst lacquer, pre catalyst lacquer and the traditional finishes such as french polish. We have established a wide variety of high quality, specialist suppliers offering: upholstery, gilding, metal work, wood carving, turning, granite, stone and glass.
